About 9 years ago (wow that makes me feel old), I went to BYU-Idaho. I really loved my time up there, especially all of the new friends I made in roommates. Okay, you don’t always make friends with some of those roommates, but I was lucky enough to meet one awesome girl named Mary. She even trusted me to shoot her wedding when I was first starting photography.
But this isn’t a story about Mary. Or me. This is about Becky and Sean!
When Becky reached out to me, I knew we’d get along, because, duh, she’s Mary’s sister.
We got to talking and found out that they were expecting, and so was I! I hadn’t told anyone yet, but it was fun to get to talk to another girl about all the fun ups and downs of pregnancy.
We made sure to get some pictures of them as a couple to celebrate their relationship and how their family was about to grow! It was also a great time and location to get some cute announcement photos for friends and family. Thank goodness for letter boards, right? I know they’re a bit trendy and some may say overused. But I love the retro, vintage feel that they have, so I’ll keep using mine. I’ll probably end up being like the parents who never redecorated their houses from the 80’s and embarrass my kids, ha ha.
I’m so glad these two trusted me enough to drive up a wild, rocky dirt road to get to this location. I hadn’t been here in the fall yet and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. But then again, you can see that for yourself in these pictures! Other than summer, fall is one of my favorite times to photograph people. And clients usually agree, because the fall foliage is so pretty!
